Terms of service
The terms governing use of bocarystudios.net, pitch submissions, and the boundaries of what Bocary Studios publishes.
Last updated 11 August 2026
1. Who you are dealing with
This website is operated by Bocary Studios, a business registered in Denmark under CVR number 44650797, EU VAT DK44650797, registered address c/o Marco Frøkjær Wejse, Skelagervej 130C, 8200 Aarhus N, Denmark. Contact: info@bocarystudios.net, +45 87 12 34 56. Our registered business activity is 582100 — Udgivelse af computerspil.
2. What this website is
An information site about our publishing services and the titles on our slate, plus two forms: a pitch portal and a contact form. Nothing is sold on this site. There is no shop, no checkout, no subscription and no payment processing. Games are bought from the storefronts that publish them, under those storefronts' own terms.
3. Submitting a pitch
- Submitting is free. We never charge a reading fee, a submission fee, or any fee to be considered.
- A submission is not an offer or an agreement. It creates no obligation on either side. A publishing relationship starts only when both parties sign a written agreement.
- Only send material you have the right to send. By submitting you confirm you own or are licensed to use everything in the submission, and that sending it breaches no agreement you have with anyone else.
- Your IP remains yours. A submission transfers nothing. We claim no licence over your game, your code, your art or your trademarks by reading a pitch.
- Independent development. We evaluate many submissions and also develop our own ideas. Similarity of a general concept, genre or mechanic does not by itself mean we used your material, and this clause does not limit your rights if we actually did.
- We answer every submission in writing within ten working days of receipt.
- Confidentiality without an NDA is described in the privacy policy, section 4. We will sign a mutual NDA before a deep evaluation.
4. Funding is not a financial product
Where we finance development, that financing is provided from Bocary Studios’s own capital under a commercial publishing agreement between two businesses, and is recouped from the published title’s revenue on terms stated in that agreement. To be unambiguous:
- We are not a bank, a lender, a credit intermediary, a broker or an investment firm.
- We do not accept deposits or manage anyone else’s money.
- We do not offer, sell or promote securities, shares, units, tokens or any investment to the public, and nothing on this site is an invitation or inducement to invest.
- Nothing on this site is financial, tax or legal advice. Take your own before signing anything.
5. Titles we do not publish
We decline these categories outright, and we say so publicly so nobody wastes a submission:
- Real-money gambling, betting, casino or wagering titles, and social-casino clones of them.
- Titles whose monetisation is built on purchasable chance mechanics aimed at minors.
- Titles that cannot obtain a PEGI or ESRB rating, or that would require one we cannot support.
- Sexual content involving minors, or content that sexualises apparent minors, in any form.
- Content that promotes hatred against or dehumanises a protected group, glorifies real-world violence or terrorism, or provides genuine instruction in causing harm.
- Titles built on infringing assets, unlicensed trademarks or another studio’s stolen work.
- Cryptocurrency, NFT or play-to-earn schemes presented as an earning opportunity.
6. Age ratings and content descriptors
Age ratings are issued by rating bodies, not by us. As part of distribution we prepare and submit rating applications to PEGI (Europe), ESRB (North America), USK (Germany) and the IARC questionnaire used by digital storefronts, and we publish the resulting rating and its content descriptors on the store page. Where a title on this site shows a rating as pending, no rating has been issued yet — we do not state a rating before a rating body has given one.
7. Accuracy of what you read here
We describe services we actually provide, and we deliberately publish no performance claims: no guaranteed store features, wishlist counts, review scores or revenue figures, because no publisher can guarantee them. Release windows for unreleased titles are targets and can change. Descriptions of games in development describe work in progress and may change before release. Where our catalogue is marked as placeholder content, treat it as illustrative until the notice is removed.
8. Intellectual property
The Bocary Studios name, logo, site design, text and generated artwork on this site are ours. Game titles, logos, characters and artwork belong to the studios that created them and appear here with their agreement. You may quote and link to this site with attribution; you may not republish it wholesale, or use our name or marks to suggest a partnership that does not exist.
9. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to break, overload, scrape at scale, or gain unauthorised access to this site or the API behind it, and do not use the forms to send unsolicited commercial messages. Both forms are rate limited; submissions that trip abuse controls are discarded.
10. Availability and liability
We aim to keep the site available but do not promise uninterrupted service, and we may change or remove content at any time. To the extent Danish law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this website, including lost profit or lost data. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and nothing here limits any rights you may have as a consumer under mandatory law.
11. Complaints, law and venue
If you have a complaint, write to info@bocarystudios.net or to our registered address above — that is the first route and usually the fastest. These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by Danish law, with the Danish courts as the venue, unless a signed agreement between us says otherwise.
12. Changes
We may update these terms; the date at the top always shows the current version. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. Signed publishing agreements are not affected by changes here — they are governed by their own wording.
