About us

A Danish publisher built around one rule: put it in writing

Bocary Studios was registered in Aarhus in February 2024 to publish independent games — funding them, finishing them, and getting them in front of the people who will love them.

Who we are

Publishing, from Aarhus, for studios anywhere

Bocary Studios is a video game publisher registered in Denmark on 22.02.2024 under CVR number 44650797. Our registered activity is 582100Udgivelse af computerspil — which is the Danish industry code for video game publishing, and it is the only business we are in.

We work the way a small publisher has to work: a limited slate, real involvement in each title, and terms written down before anyone commits. We fund development from our own capital under a publishing agreement, take titles through storefront distribution and certification, run the marketing calendar, and handle the QA and localization work that decides whether a submission passes first time.

What we do not do is promise outcomes. No publisher can guarantee a store feature, a review score or a sales figure, and a publisher who does is telling you something about how they will handle the rest of the agreement. We commit to the work, the timeline and the reporting — and to answering every submission that reaches us.

Why you will not find sales figures on this site

Unit sales, wishlist counts, review averages and funding totals are advertising claims, and an advertising claim that cannot be evidenced is a policy violation on every major ad platform — as well as being unfair to the studios whose numbers they are. We publish what the public register shows, and we provide storefront dashboards and contactable references under NDA when a serious conversation reaches that point.

What we publish

And what we will not put our name on

Being specific about this saves everyone a call.

We publish

  • Premium and free-to-play titles for PC, console and mobile
  • Action, puzzle, RPG, strategy, narrative and roguelite games
  • Titles from solo developers through to established teams
  • Projects from prototype stage to already-released games needing reach

We do not publish

  • Real-money gambling, betting or casino titles
  • Games built around purchasable chance mechanics aimed at minors
  • Titles that cannot obtain a PEGI or ESRB rating
  • Anything requiring a developer to pay us to be considered

How we contract

Agreements are governed by Danish law, with the courts of Denmark as the venue unless we agree otherwise in writing. Invoicing is in DKK, EUR or USD as stated in the contract. Business customers in other EU member states are invoiced under the reverse-charge mechanism against a valid VAT number.

Full publishing

Funding, marketing, QA, distribution and live operations. The widest scope and the longest commitment.

Distribution only

The game is finished and funded. We handle storefronts, ratings, release logistics and patching.

Co-development

We put production people on the project alongside our capital — usually to finish a strong prototype.

Marketing only

Campaign strategy and execution for a title you are publishing yourself.
